1) Find the area of the circle: Ac = pi*(2 ft)^2 = 4pi ft^2
2) Multiply this result by 3/4: (3/4)(pi)(4ft^2) = 3 pi ft^2
3) Find the area of the square: As = (2 ft)^2 = 4 ft^2
4) Add together the results of steps (2) and (3): 3 pi + 4 ft^2 (answer)
