We have the following system:
 y = -2x + 5
 3x-4y = 2
 Substituting y in equation 2 we have:
 3x-4 (-2x + 5) = 2
 We clear x:
 3x + 8x - 20 = 2
 11x = 2 + 20
 x = 22/11
 x = 2
 Then, we substitute x = 2 in equation 1:
 y = -2 (2) +5
 y = -4 + 5
 y = 1
 Answer:

The solution to the system of equations is:

x = 2

y = 1
