Caesar is very confident in his leadership and is not afraid of anything; he tends to be rather egotistical and likes to show off his power. He doesn’t feel the letter is of any importance because he’s not sure what it contains and whatever it is, he thinks it’s pointless. Also the Gods do not want Caesar to get the letter and become king.
