So for #1 follow,

[tex]i. \: \frac{4}{3} > \frac{5}{4} [/tex]
Cross multiply and get,

[tex]4 \times 4 = 16 > 3 \times 5 = 15[/tex]

[tex]16 > 15[/tex]

Or,

[tex] \frac{4}{3} = 1 \frac{1}{3} = 1.33[/tex]

[tex] \frac{5}{4} = 1\frac{1}{4} = 1.25[/tex]

[tex]ii. \: - \frac{2}{3} > - \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

[tex] - \frac{2}{3} = .666 > - \frac{3}{4} = 0.75[/tex]
