How do you break apart 16×34 into four simpler multiplication problems please help?

10 x 30 = 300

10 x 4 = 40

6 x 30 = 180

6 x 4 = 24 

300 + 40 + 180 + 24 = 544.

Add all the products to get 544. It's been a long time since I did this method, haha. I checked with a calculator.
