Why is DNA replication necessary before each cell division?

DNA replicates before a cell divides to give a complete set of instructions to each daughter cell.

DNA replication is necessary because each cell must have the exact same DNA in order for it to be your own there is the same coding on each strand which is unique to a person. If there are not replicated then the cell will not function.
