There are an infinite number of equations that have both  2  and  -4  as
solutions. We can't select the correct one until you give us some choices. 

A good place to find some good choices would be the list that's printed
right there with this question, in the book or on the homework sheet that
you copied the question from.

One equation with solutions of  2  and  -4  is:     x (x + 2) = 8  .
