This inequality has NO SOLUTION:

PROOF:

3x + 1 < 2x - 2 < 5x +7

1st let's analyze the 1st inequality: 3x+1<2x-2
3x-2x <-2-1 Then x <-3

2nd let's analyze the 2nd inequality: 2x-2 < 5x+7
2x-5x < 7+2 Then  -3x<9 OR 3x > - 9 and x> - 3

In the 1st we have x <-3 in the 2nd we have x > - 3 which is impossible
