i'm not really sure what kind of question this is supposed to be, but i think it's likely that she believes in an afterlife because nobody knows what happens after death. maybe she doesn't believe in an afterlife, but she's unsure of what happens after death and is worried about it so she believes that something could happen but doesn't know what to think.
