A sailboat that is propelled by an outboard is considered A POWER DRIVEN MOTOR BOAT. Motor boats are powered by engines. Motor boat varies in size and types and these determine the types of equipment they are required by law to carry. Many motor boats are less than twenty six feet in length, therefore they come under class one.
