You need to find a common denominator, in this case I used 24.
You multiply 1 by 4, and 6 by 4 to get 4/24.
And you multiply 1 by 3, and 8 by 3 to get 3/24.
4/24 > 3/24.
[tex]1/6 \geq 1/8.[/tex]  

Think of you slicing a pizza. Another way to know is to cross multipy LIKE THIS [tex]1/6=1/8.[/tex]
