Well first of all, he was a hero becuase he was a man of honesty, he wasnt corrupt like other leaders. Also, he did what other couldnt. Help people gain their freedom. And lastly, his hard work and determination. He didnt give up, even when he was in prison. And really, these are all the qualities a hero is supposed to have. Hope this helped you!
