The Prime Minister
may belong to the Lok Sabha (elected directly by a constituency) or the
Rajya Sabha (either elected indirectly by representatives or
nominated). The Prime Minister is a bridge between houses of Parliament and the President. The President is a counsellor to the Prime Minister.
