Solve 6 yards 9 feet 4 inches multiplied by 2

multiplication is repeating addition
we add 6 yards, 9 feet, and 4 inches 2 times
4+4=8 inches
9+9=18
1 foot=12 inches
we subtract 18-12 and that's 6 inches
12+1=13
13 feet, 6 inches and 8 inches
