how many chromosomes do the sex sells have compared to the body cells? explain this is for science by the way

Mitosis is the process by which body cells divide to form two identical copies. Meiosis produces four sex cells (gametes) which contain 1/2 the genetic material of the original cell. Normal humans carry 46 chromosomes in each cell (2 copies of 23 chromosomes). hope this helps :)
