Let's split this up to make it easier.

Let's expand 5(2x - 1) first.

Multiply 5 by 2x and - 1

5 × 2x = 10x

5 × -1 = -5

Now we have 10x - 5

Let'd do the other side

Multiply 2 by 3x and -6

2 × 3x = 6x

2 × -6 = -12

Now we have 6x - 12

Let's combine both sides now.

(10x - 5) + (6x - 12)

Combine like terms:

10x + 6x = 16x

-5 + -12 = -17

Your final answer is 16x - 17
