Who was Susannah Dickinson, and what role did she play in the Alamo conflict?

Susannah Wilkerson Dickinson was one of the only Texas survivors of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. She was born in Tennessee around 1814 she married Captain Almaron Dickinson. Santa Anna spared only a few inhabatints before the final battle.
