6y-5x=5                                           x=2y+7

x=2y+7                                              x=2(-10)+7

6y-5(2y+7)=5                                     x= -20+7

6y-10y-35=5                                       x= -13

6y-10y=5+35

-4y=40

y= -40/4

y=-10
