Solve for x in the equation? x^2-14x+31=63

x^2-14x+31=63          subtract 31 from both sides 
x^2-14x=32                divide by -14 in both sides 
x^2=-2.285714286                   find the square root of both sides
x=-1.511857892                          

Round it and you get -1.5
